Words cannot express my deep sadness at the news that my dear friend of over 40 years has passed. I will always cherish the many memories we were fortunate enough to make during our friendship. When my daughter was a toddler I would take her to Wally’s butcher shop to buy the best bologna in town. I will always fondly remember the great times at the Bay House and how often Wally helped me in my time of need. May you rest in eternal peace in God’s warm embrace. You will be missed.

  9. stephen adler says:

I have many wonderful memories of Wally gathered in the few years that I lived in Baldwin. One of the most memorable was going what felt like 90 miles per hour in his little Boston Whaler on the way to the bay house. He was always fun and full of life. He will be missed by those who knew him but he will always live on in my mind. Steve

  10. Jan and Sharon and Lynsey Gilbert says:

Whether he was the butcher, the fisherman, the envelope man or the construction guy, Wally was always right there for you when you needed him; and always in a quiet, soft, endearing manner.

When we spoke about things other than the reality in which we live, he always told me that, when the time comes, I should go toward the light. I hope that’s what he did.

  11. Charlie Zorbo says:

The Beers family were my neighbors for my whole life growing up as a child. Working in the butcher with the Beers, delivering meat, and getting locked in the freezer were part of some fun memories. Just a few weeks back I saw Wally waiting for gas and we exchanged a big strong hug and cought up with old time talk. Rest in Peace Wally.
My sincere condolence to the Beers Family
